Adobe Premiere Problem

I'm having a problem with Premiere. When I drag the clip to the timeline the video skips, but the audio is fine. Any Solutions? or is my computer too crappy?

i dont have divx or Xvid on my computer i uninstalled them and still same problem ill try again

Sounds to me as if you try to open files that use a codec that you haven't installed. Wonder that you don't get an error message. Check the file properties what codec is used and install it. And as Scintilla pointed out - use only editable codecs in premiere, convert the files if necessary before.

I dunno why but MPEG does that skipping bug, but if I put in an .avi is works fine.

I'll say it again. Preview render the project first. That's usualy what the skipping problem is due to. AKA Press enter!

not that simple but it makes the file worth like 3 gig if im correct
