Constant crashing problem

I have discovered that Windows Media Player (like so much of Windows) does not appreciate it when you try to "improve" it. Apparently something that went in with the AMVapp (not ffdshow this time since I left ot out) is now causing crashes whenever I try to play any audio CD as well... and when I say "crash" I mean blue screens of death every time. Oh well, at least my .avi's all work fine.
Anyone know a good program I can use to rip audio CDs into .wma format? (iTunes doesn't do that format... I already tried last night)

I had the same problem. I couldn't open WMP without ffdshow crashing everything including windows explorer. >_< I thought maybe it was just my dumb computer... but yeah, uninstalling it helped which isn't really a problem since I don't use it. Is ffdshow really important??? Lol, sorry...noob syndrome.
