Do you mean when you import the video? I know this is basic, and I'm sure you've tried restarting your computer, right? You might want to try closing down any and all other programs that eat up your RAM. WMM doesn't utilize RAM efficiently, so it does have that tendency to go... BOOM. (BTW Scintilla, love the picture.) Also, make sure your Virtual Memory settings are set to let Windows handle it. Hope that helps a little.jinsgirl2005 wrote:When i uploaded a video...

You shouldn't put videos in your timeline. Don't edit with videos (amvs, fansubs, etc) - edit with ripped footage.
If you're using fansubs that are already encoded (hence the audio), open them in VirtualDub/Vdubmod and save the footage to huffyuv (disable the audio track while you're at it). It's probably the xvid codec that's giving you problems with wmm, but it doesn't matter. Don't edit with videos (amvs or fansubs) - rip the footage you want to use or convert it huffyuv in virtualdub first. Editing with huffyuv clips will give you the best possible quality and avoid the problems wmm may have with certain codecs.

This isn't the source of your problem, but it's easier to right-click the clip and choose "add to timeline" than it is to drag and drop. Just to save yourself a few lockups, avoid dragging things as much as possible.
