My dvd decrypter won't decrypt Spirited Away!
My dvd decrypter won't decrypt spirited away! Is there anything I can get to fix this? It says it just won't allow the rip... Like it's blocked or protected or something.

so you put the dvd in and it says:
label: Spirited Away (or something like that)
Region: 1 (or 2, whatever you use really...)
what does it say for RCE protection?
and just in case, how much free space do you have on the drive that you're ripping the files to?
another problem you could have is that you're trying to use a region 1 dvd player to rip a region 2 dvd (or any other combonation where the drive and dvd regions don't match)

Hmm that is strange. My sister was able to rip Spirited away fine.
Another strange thing is I have a Region 1 dvd player in my computer I know that. I recently bought the Region 2 dvd of Sailor Moon Stars and I am able to rip it when I first put it in my dvd-rom and open up dvd decryptor.

Computer DVD-players (and many stand-alone too) aren't locked to a specific region if they are new. You can change the region 5 times, then it get locked to the last region. So be carefull when changing between R1 and R2, that your drive doesn't get locked at R2. For the most DVD players exist region free BIOS. Of course they aren't manufacturer approved, so you'll lose warranty for your drive by updating the BIOS.JenCM18 wrote:Another strange thing is I have a Region 1 dvd player in my computer I know that.
