you can download FREE packs for effects titles and transitions. There's a pack with stuff like transparancy transitions so you can have to pictures on at the same time. The website tells you how to add them, it basically just involves making a new folder in the WMM directory
HOW TO SAVE THESE EFFECTS AND TRANSITIONS
To save these effects/Transitions firstly find what you are looking for
Than Right Click Save Target as on the link
Save The file into shared\AddOnTFX folder. If this folder does not exist in the windows movie maker directory than you will have to create it.
If the file is in Zip format save the zipped folder than unzip the contents into the shared\AddOnTFX folder
All files are made on the basis that the C Drive is where WMM is situated
If you open the XML code in the web browser and than copy and paste it into notepad and save it the old traditional way it will not work
Transparancies require a bit of thinking to use. First, cut video A into two parts (A1 and A2). Put video B between A1 and A2. If you want B to be 30% visible, you'll make the A1-B transition as 70% transparent. Then between B and A2, make it 30% transparent. The reason is in the first transition, video A1 is dominant, and in the second B is dominant, so you have to adjust. Sound hard? Just take a few minutes and use logic and you'll get it.
The rest of it is all self-explanatory. Speed video up 10% does that, add more for a cumulative effect (always 50% was too much). THESE FILES DO NOT OVERWRITE THE OLD ONES! They just give you more to work with. Have fun. Let me know if anyone finds any other free packs
