Adobe Premiere 6.5 Export Problems

I've been trying to export my videos and haven't been able to do it, when ever I export my videos, when i try to open them, windows explorer just freezes or closes. I have solved this problem before but haven't used Premiere recently and started again. Please help, I haven't been able to export my files correctly.

What HuffYUV RGB encoding option do you have set? If it's "Convert to YUY2", then check the "Always suggest RGB mode for output" box, or if that's already checked, then change it to one of the other options.

I'm also not sure why you would be using a frame size of 640x360... the fact that 360 isn't a multiple of 16 might cause problems with some codecs.

Tried that, didnt work and isnt 360 supposed to be a muptiple of 9? since its 16:9

16:9 aspect ratio doesn't change the fact that many codecs work in macroblocks of 8 (16 for the chroma). It's recommended you work at 640x352 in such cases.

Do you have "Always" selected for the Recompress option?

If all else fails, you can always export as Uncompressed RGB instead...

Also, if I compss it as Uncompressed RGB then when I try to open it, it freezes my explorer, also if I havent mentioned I havent put it through vdub yet so could that be the problem

Luma = luminance = brightness = Y channel

Chroma = chromaticity/chrominance = color = UV/IQ/PbPr/CbCr channels

And yeah, you're not really supposed to be playing back lossless files anyway. Use VirtualDub(/Mod) to recompress to something distributable (like XviD) and see if it still doesn't work then.

none of them work either when i try to vdub it, im out of options

Have you turned off Explorer's common tasks, which include annoying video previewing (or at least hidden the "Details" section of the common tasks)?

I tried, but when I ever view it and either stop it or it ends, my winamp shuts down.
