Need help with a Vegas 6 problem.

Post by IcyHotGoku » Sat Feb 25, 2006 1:59 pm

I don't know if anyone has ever had this problem and know's how to solve it, but I need help. I'm having this problem where i can't drag in these video clips of mine into the timeline. I can drag in all my other files but these clips that i downloaded (but i have the actual episodes on dvd so its legal) won't go into the timeline. Every time i try to i got that curser thats a circle with the line through it. So if anyone could help me i would greatly appreciate it.

what codec are the clips encoded with?
I'm guessing divx, in which case you should re-encode those clips with HuffYuv or Lagarith (you can use vdub (/mod) to do this)

that means that the format isn't suported or it can't read the video... what format is the video and if it's avi, what codec?

Could be a codec conflict. Having both divx and xvid installed will cause such problems. Uninstall one.

What, even if you tell XviD not to decode the DX50 FourCC and vice versa?
