i have a problem with my movie programs

ok i am having issues with my windows movie maker and sony vegas

some time it closes on me or freezes but it is always with the same clip i am using

anyone know what to do

what codec/format is you the clip?

they are AVI or something

well my media player plays them so i dont think it is the codec thing

Chances are good that codecs are the issue. From what you're said, chances are that you're using XviD encoded fansubs.
