It opens, but VirtualDub Mod don't show anything in the monitors.

Can you open the AviSynth script in VirtualDub(Mod)?

Yes!

You know that you have to make new fake-AVIs if you change the AVS script?

Yeah I know, thanks. :)

you can encode xvid files to work straight from import in after effects but the file size could be big and re-encoding would equal less quality. Maybe Better off doing the "make clips with virtual dub method".

VDM should show the video if you open the fake-AVI. Sounds like somthing is wrong with your installation of VFAPI. Shows the VFAPI Reader Codec up in the codec list?

If you have a codec pack installed and have Koepi's (or a different one) "Four CC Code Changer," you can change the Xvid file to a different one. Me, I installed DivX and changed the video type from Xvid to DivX, and it works for me. Then again, I'm not sure if it would work for after effects, since i use Premiere Pro.

That's exactly what I do, I re-encode the eps but this create huge files (Around 10GB), and considering the medium number of episodes that an anime serie has.. This is quite bad.

About FFDShow, I found it quite unstable, everytime I open Media Player with it installed, once closed it game me an error :? So I usually disinstall it.

all you need to do is convert the parts of the episode that you use
(ie your clips)
you can keep the eps in xvid or divx, just when you take clips (I also suggest taking clips in vdub(/mod)) you encode them with huffy or lagarith

Yeah, in the end I found that this one is the only solution I have. :)
But it's a shame since it will completely fill my HDD, I haven't so much space. :?

Man I tried importing eps in Xvid, DivX, 3ivX and all seem to be working fine with AE, I think maybe you need the right codec pack. I suggest you try K-lite Codec Pack

Before asking, THINK!!! Have you read The Guides, consulted The Wiki and watched The Corn?
