Film Effects - Jitter setting.kimstar00 wrote:how do i get the screen shaking effect on vegas 4.0 to work?
Or keyframes in the pan/crop window (not possible if you mean Vegas Movie Studio). Actually, it *is* possible, just more difficult.

wow that helps a lot.. I need to stop avoiding using effects.. all it takes is a little adjustments to get things looking the way you want them.TaranT wrote:Film Effects - Jitter setting.kimstar00 wrote:how do i get the screen shaking effect on vegas 4.0 to work?

And amvwizard.. it works with 6.0 too. When you select Film effects in FX, Drag Reset to none to your footage.. when the options come up for messing with the Film Effect settings, go to type select jitter and then adjust the amount to whatever you desire. Hope that helps.
And thanks a bunch TaranT

Good point about the Reset To None preset. I've been setting each one to zero individually.x_rex30 wrote:...When you select Film effects in FX, Drag Reset to none to your footage...
Here's one thing to keep in mind. The jitter effect is meant to simulate drawing a filmstrip vertically through a projector. So all the motion is going to be up and down, not so much sideways or into the screen. And you may need to zoom in slightly or do some mask or cropping since the edges of the visual image will intrude on the viewing area.
