Part of a video I want need the audio from the actual DVD. I also want to try to do the whole edit in 24fps, then down to 23.976 thing as mentioned in the guide. So what I plan to do is take the part (since it is only for the begining) I want, and append the song I want after it, to make introstuff+song audio stream.
My question is, what should I do to the audio to get it to mesh. I'll take the song and change it to the 24fps version, etc, but what do I do about the DVD audio. The dvd is 29.97 of course right now, and i doubt I should change it from 29970 to 23976. My guess is that it is actually 23.976 right now, and it just uses the dropdown to make the video right, but I'm not sure.
So yeah, what mods do I have to do to the DVD audio to make it sync correctly with my song audio?
DVD-Audio Speed mod?

If you are just using a scene (meaning, video and audio) from the DVD directly, and you are converting the video from 29.97 to 23.976fps, you can leave the audio as is. Then append the remainder of the 23.976fps video when you're done that part.
If you are using the DVD audio in a video project that you are editing in 24fps, then you should do the 23.976 -> 24fps audio conversion as mentioned in the guides. It might be a good idea to do the beginning and the song in separate projects and join at the end.
