make sure that you have all of these files in the same folder:
VitrtualDubMod
VirtualDubMod.exe.manifest
scilexar.dll
vorbis.dll

you might also want to check the task manager to see if the process is ever created
it should appear as VirtualDubMod.exe

vdubMod site wrote:Get the latest release and unpack it somewhere on your HD. Get the latest Dll pack and unpack it in the same directory. If you don't have all the VirtualDub Dlls (sylia.dll, vdrslink.dll, etc.) get them (either coming from the official VirtualDub, or go get the latest special Dll pack with those files from SourceForge).
Alternatively we now offer an all inclusive pack which should have everything you need to run VirtualDubMod.
looks like it wants you to try re-installing it again, but you may just want to browse for the specific files mentioned

You could also try opening up task manager, going to the applications tab and clicking "new task"
browse to where you have the program stored and try to run it like that

another option (don't know why it would work, but it could happen) is to get the original Vdub, see if that works and then see if mod opens (or try another re-install)
