Help with WMM2
Alright, so my WMM is screwed up, as in everytime I try to save, I get a message that says the file can't be saved because:
1) I need original source files (I have the bloody source files, its still there)
2) I don't have enough space (I have 23.7 GB left, its not the problem, is it because I am pretty sure GB > MB)
I've pretty much been troubleshooting the damn thing, and before this the program didn't even start. Any suggestions?
I am thinking of trying to uninstall/reinstall the stupid thing. But I want that to be out of sheer desperation since it's so hard to do.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, but there aren't any clips missing from the collection. Thus I am right back where I started. Stupid WMM. The whole movie's there, imported twice, and the programs giving me the same message. Perhaps its a problem with the movie file itself and not WMM.
And its so cool (and extra cliche =)) I just wanna share it. Argh!

I have said it before will say it again, that is a common error with wmm, put a different movie in there, I am not saying you have to make a new one, just stick another movie in there and try to save it, if it works then the other one may start to work, I can't explain why it does that, but I know it can work because I have done it before, another thing is some people who have had this problem save their movies in half then put them together and that works, I preffer the first option, it is a buggy program but considering it is free its not that bad, I have vegas now, but I still find wmm useful sometimes

I know why it happens.
What you're experiencing is the "complexity bug." WMM will attempt to buffer all of the clips and effects in your timeline at once before it tries to encode. If it reaches the limit of your memory before that completes, it fails and says that either your source files are corrupt or you don't have enough HD space... with 99% of the time isn't true.
Like in your case.
There are two ways around this that actually work.
1.) Get a better computer. Gig of ram, Dedicated 128+MB Video Card, > 1 GHz processor, big HD, etc.
2.) Save what you have so far. Now save the same thing as like, "My AMV part 1" and "My AMV part 2." Open part 1. Delete the second half of the video timeline. Try to encode. It should work. If not, keep splitting your project in halves until you get parts that will encode. Then once you have all the parts, put the pieces back into WMM and make a final encode.
Best of luck.
