Adobe Premiere 6 Exporting

Post by Jenny Bird » Fri Oct 11, 2002 9:18 am

Exporting high quality that can be compressed.. evil..
Okay, currently I've tried every Microsoft AVI codec under the moon that comes with Premiere, and HuffYuv. I get odd scan lines in the finished product; I don't think it's my source of my clips, because those are DVD rips. Now, if I export as a Microsoft DV AVI.. it's pretty. Perfect. Etc. The only problem is NanDub and TMPEG hate it and refuse to acknowledge it.
...Help? What do people recommend as a good solution to this? It's probably a setting I goofed somewhere, because I was under the impression that HuffYuv (newer versions) was one of the best.
Here's a screenshot of the problem:

Ignore the evil logo at the top. I randomly downloaded this codec to see if it's work and, lo and behold, same problem as HuffYuv. That's the point where I gave up and took a screenshot before coming here...

Input in appreciated. ^_^

Under the project settings and export settings, go under Keyframe and rendering and try setting the fields to "no fields"

Okay, just implemented that.. and still nothing different. I've tried just about everything I can using the Microsoft AVI feature; still Microsoft DV AVI is the only one decently smooth, and without those scan lines. It's not just something about the AMV project file; I've tried others now.
I apologize for the issue; I'm probably overlooking something basic. Thanks for all your help, anyway. ^_^[/b]

Baka...they're called scanlines, or you could call the footage interlaced. You have to De-interlace it/IVTC it to remove them.

Yeah what NickD is saying there, what's the frame rate on the DVD footage?

29.97 = telecined interlacey lines
23.98/24 = Progessive, shouldn't contain lines.
