yea u should just wait a little longer untill u can buy it. or u could get a used on somewere if u can find it. maybe ebay

If you're a student, JourneyEd has the Adobe Video Collection (Premiere Pro, AfterEffects 6 Standard, Audition, and Encore) for $450. Linkage here.
I ordered it the other day, and it's getting here tomorrow! *squee*
In case you've never heard of the last two programs, Audition is Adobe's sound editing software that they bought from Syntrillium. If it looks familiar, that's b/c it used to be called Cool Edit.
Encore is their DVD authoring software. I want to find screenshots of it, but Adobe offers none. Seems to have a lot of features, though.
...oh, and if you think $450 is expensive? It retails for $1000.
