I've seen T3 run that fast, but never DSL, not even my VDSL at home (lucky me to get a house next to an ISP) goes that fast, although I have seen 350Kbps DL speeds on Bitorrent using vdsl.
System Info: Mac dual 1.25ghz G4 server, running Mac OSX Panther Server, 2gig DDR ram, 120gigx4 HDD, Pinnacle DC3000 Video Card, and a whole host of software goodies. Also have a 700mhz G3 iBook, used as a terminal.

You sure? DS3 runs at 44.736 Mbit/s, which is 5726.208KB/s. Madmag9999's reported speed is over 10 times faster than that.

Meh, ignore me, sometimes I ask questions that are in no way important to the conversation.

his reported speed was around 60 megs a second, whereas T1 and T3 both run well over 100 megs a second. ^_^

as for a 5K download speed, try turning off pictures and having all text browser, it'll make it seem like your internet is going faster (just kidding)

That's only at full duplex, anyway.
