Well I just realized I can't open your project file because i run 5.5 w/PB
as for moving things from one project file into another... ITs really easy just import the .aep what I wound up doing with Olin after winding up with 5 project files. i created one main project file. and then imported the rest and created folders for them.

The problem arose from having a project file which was essentially the same as the one i was using imported into my project. I guess maybe 2 projects referencing the same files and stuff just killed it?
Anyways, the main project had layers that were simply pasted from the imported project. So I had to get rid of the imported project somehow, but without deleting these layers. To do this, I replaced the source video of all of the layers with the video sources from the main project file. The way to do this was to select the layer, and alt+drag from the bin onto the layer. After replacing everything from the imported project, I was able to successfully delete it out of the main project, and the problem is solved.
