Anything works in Premiere when you use the AviSynth plugin.
Which is exactly what I would suggest - use AviSynth to load and "clean up" the DVD rips (or whatevert you have). That way you just load the AVS script into Premiere which handles that fine and doesn't cost you tons of disk space.
Is Stream Editing a Good Idea?

I don't think it's possible to read directly off a DVD into a video editor. You might be able to do it by having an AviSynth script on the hard drive "pointing" at the DVD, but I've never attempted it and never heard of anyone doing it before.TheLegace wrote:Still no one answered if DVD Streaming was a good idea, just wanna know if it works or not.
Thanx
But the real question is: why would you want to? The speeds would be so slow as to be unbearable, and possibly damaging to your video. That's assuming you have everything on the same disc - even if it's possible with multiple discs the time required would increase rapidly! You'd be better off earning some extra money with that time to buy a new hard drive (they are cheap these days).
So it was, I was just ... er ... reinforcing the point. Yeah.milkmandan wrote:my first suggestion was avisynth
