Non-Linear Editor. Windows Movie Maker 2 is actually a linear editor, not really an NLE, but I didn't have a better term to describe it that would indicate that it fills the same general spot in the editing workflow as, say, Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas Video.Captain Spadaro wrote:Ok. But what does NLE stand for?
I meant to say that, for the majority of those steps, it doesn't matter what program you use to do your actual editing.

The video is 1 min, 31 sec long. If you want to know what the video is, its the "clean" version of the opening of Evangelion from the Platinum DVD. The size of the vob is 77,616 KB. VirtualDubMod is telling me that the decompressor is Helix YV12. The FourCC code says two things: YV12 in brackets, and directly below that, Unknown. I'd attach a screenshot if I could, but I can't.

Well, I intend to save it as one file so I don't have to rip the vob from the DVD every time I want to use it. However, it shouldn't have a projected file size of 2000 MB or so. Also, DGIndex told me that the footage is composed entirely of interlaced frames, frame rate is a constant 29.970 fps, video type is NTSC, it's composed of 2731 frames, the bitrate varies, and the field order says "Top".
