Klinky, are you aware that there are MPEG formats other than MPEG1? Like, you know, MPEG2 and MPEG-4? It's true...

ErMaC wrote that guide, ErMaC used that method, and ErMaC's XviD files still wouldn't play on my computer until I downloaded XviD. I don't want other people to have the same problem that I did.
Ask me about my secret stash of videos that can't be found anywhere anymore.

...ErMaC and AbsoluteDestiny wrote that guide, and ErMaC's XviDs work perfectly fine when I just have DivX 5 installed. I installed DivX 5 back when I was installing everything over from a format, and ErMaC's videos worked.

By the way, like Tab said, DivX and XviD are variants of the MPEG-4 standard.

actualy, I wrote the xvid guide. You can tell who wrote each part of the guide by the byline at the bottom (sometimes its both of us, sometimes its just him, but that one is mine)

My bad... must have quoted the wrong message. I did think it strange for NickDWolf to have not remembered that it was me who wrote that one ^_^
