Wish It Was All Just A Terrible Lie -- has interlacing issues, but the video is put together well and makes good use of the effects-laden trailer footage. You have no idea how happy I am to finally see a good Galerians vid.
Internal Deviation -- good use of effects, great synch, an all-round solid video.
Armitage III: Dreams in Digital -- are you talking about visual quality when you say 'great quality'? This one isn't, but it's a cool video anyway.
A Half-Demon's Pain II -- I remember this one having good visual quality. Song got a little annoying after repeated listens though, so I ended up deleting it.

And as for people who won't even view wmv files because of the fact they think it'll suck, sucks you be you. You're missing out on some good vids. And not all vids that are wmv are made with WMM.

I really dont mind the quality and think its more the lack of editing, there are wMM vids on here that are edited so that its just a 1 min fight scene lifted from the anime run against some music. It i wanted to see that then i'd just watch the anime.

Oh, it's an AVS effect... darn... oh well, that actually works better... should've thought of doing overlays that way... stupid me, thinking inside the box.

I guess I shall try some suggestions for changing the way that Windows handles memory distrobution, see if that helps any.

Hello!!!
I wanted to ask a question about WMM.

When I used files such as AVIs or MKV(?), and put some music into it, the music would sometimes not play...

I have no idea why...
It would only play for a little bit, and then cut off suddenly(just the music. The vid would keep playing.)
I corrected the problem temporarily by going to the Audio/Music and adjusting the volume, but it would mess up again soon after the movie was played...

I also posted a topic about a problem with WMM...please respond to that as well!!!! >_<

Are the .avi files DivX or XviD? That's the most common cause of synch and playback problems when editing.

I also have another problem with WMM...
I recently made an AMV using AVI video files. For some reason now, I can't save it!!! It says that "WMM cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still avilable, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again."
It's strange....the location is there(I even made a new folder just for this video), the project is still there, and I have gigs of memory...the movie only takes up 13.91MB...I don't know what's wrong...
Do filters play a part in this? I've noticed that if I turn some filters on, the movie can't save at all, but if I switch them around, sometimes the movie can only save a little bit....other times it says the above.
And then something strange came up one time...The movie started saving, but it only saved to 2%, and the minutes only kept on going UP instead of down after that!!! I even left the computer on for hours...and it still wasn't saved!!!

That is the most horrible (and really, the only un-fixable) bug in WMM2.

I'm sorry, but there's only one way to get around the "cannot save to specified location" bug... split your project.

Like this. Save your current project exactly the way it is as, like, "myamvpart1" and "myamvpart2." Now open "myamvpart1" and delete the entire second half. Save. Open "myamvpart2" and delete the entire first half. Make sure, though, that in each instance you're trimming the end/beginning of the song so that all your clips in each half are still synched. Save.

Now export the halves with the highest quality you can. I'd suggest getting Windows Media Encoder 9 and creating a profile that will save at 20MBPS. Link below.

Once you have your halves, import them back into WMM and drop them in the right place on the timeline. Now you only have two clips, so WMM can encode them.

The bug is in the way WMM2 buffers memory for encoding... it's just plain wrong. It'll hit a memory ceiling and then just... stop. It should try to do stuff bit-by-bit, but it'll try to buffer your entire timeline at once instead. Hopefully this bug will be fixed in the next version of WMM.

I consider that lack of editing skill, rather than the program's fault.
