As with all new releases, check the Sony forums (and any other related forums) for bug reports and comments. Right now, there appears to be some kind of incompatibility if Vegas 5 is still loaded on the system with Vegas 6.

Along the same line, there are new versions of Ulead Video Studio and Ulead DVD Movie Factory. Neither one appears to be in the retail channels yet, but they can be ordered from the Ulead Web site.

Serif MoviePlus looks like a clone of (Sony) Vegas Movie Studio with some added capabilities. Selling for $80.

Free tutorials for Windows Movie Maker 2 are at Atomic Learning. Requires QuickTime and a broadband connection.

That serif movie maker.......... damn if I didnt know better I wouldnt be able to tell it apart from vegas. Seriosly, it looks like nothing but a direct rip off of vegas movie studio.

I got nero vision with my dvd burner a few days ago. It seems like a prety good program. Simple, easy to use, and stable. I did some editing with dodgy divx footage and it worked perfectly. Even has a few cool effects that vegas is missing. I just wish they could have included a second video track, just to make extracting and organising clips a little easier.

Someone please tell me one video program that can create clips just like Windows Movie Maker, on top of that please tell me a video editing program that can make special effects. (black and white, red, invert, etc..)
