Fade away.....
Ok, back again with another fun question. I'll get the the point. How do I fade in one frame and fade out the preceeding frame. The way I have it now it just looks too... blocky... not smooth enough. Actually now that I"m on the subject is there anywhere i can go to see what all the effects actually do. I mean I get the jist of what they do but I hate rendering the whole thing just to get a preview. The enter key is now my new worste enemy. Anway... until next time...

Well, if you're talking about Adobe Premiere (i may be spelling it wrong, but I'm just too lazy right now to check my spelling) The effect you are looking for is the cross dissolve. And as for how to see what the effect will look like, double click it and it will show you a preview. It will also give you options for the effect.

Oh no you dont. Don't use the pre-made crossfade transition, because PREMIERE DOESNT LIKE IT. Insted, use the rubberbands that are present on video tracks 2 and above. All ya gotta do is click the little |> next to Video 2 and it will extend the track down. The red line is what you are lookin for. It controls the opacity of the clip, and it is alot better looking than the crossfade transition. The higher the line is, the more opaque (non see through) it becomes. At 100% its solid. The rest is easy and you should figure it out yourself.vincentpricemil wrote:Well, if you're talking about Adobe Premiere (i may be spelling it wrong, but I'm just too lazy right now to check my spelling) The effect you are looking for is the cross dissolve. You don't need to use the preview feature to preview your effects. Just before where the effect starts on the timeline hold down the ALT key, then press the left mouse button and it the cursor should turn into a down arrow. Now just drag the arrow (Keep the ALT key held) across the section where your effect is and it shows it in the preview window! This is called scrubbing.
