light effects/blendings with premiere?
hi guys ..
i've got a question ..
am i able to do light effects or blendings light effects with premiere in my amv's
i mean a light effect like the one in the matrix reloaded trailer
or white lights from the site which conquer the clip ...
??
and if, then how?

Light effects? Um... yeah- more info would help- but Z' is probably right- Premiere doesn't do much with lights. Drawing some heavy conclusions, if you're talking about stuff like lens flares, I don't believe Premiere does them at all- that's normally After Effects' domain.

Are you trying to do this?
If so, it's not especially hard to make something that looks like it. One transition in "always" was based off of that sequence.
Basically what you want to do is create a zoom blur centered at point (x,y), and have that blur additively blend with the source image for that light effect. Keyframe the blur's radius to go from 0 to N in F frames (where F is preferably small).
In the Matrix trailer they did some other things such as color correction, and it should be noted that various pieces of Neo's face (such as his sunglasses and lips) remain clearer than the rest of his face. The background is also entirely black. That effect isn't too hard to reproduce, though: masking would do the trick.

also, if you have after effects, the Glow effect works well in a lot of cases.
