Premiere 6.5 and overlays....

Post by JKTrix » Sun Oct 05, 2003 2:26 pm

I've read the guide and the other topics and I believe I've followed the instructions exactly, and i'm still having a problem....

I'm trying to use overlays to hid subtitles on an AMV i'm working on based on the anime Last Exile. I did the whole thing with exporting a frame and putting it in photoshop and clipping it down to the part that will cover the subs, and then saved it as a PSD then imported just that one layer, and even did the 'Alpha Channel' transparency thing. Then, when I play the vid to preview it, I get a red X on top of the video instead of my overlay -_- I've been workin on tryin to figure this out myself for the past week (between school and F Zero GX), but I don't know what to do. I haven't used Premiere before this, this will only be my 3rd MV. I used WMM for my first one and MM2 for my second one (look under my real username, 'Jedi_Kakarott'... my account for that is screwed up too).
Any help will be appreciated ;) L8er

It seems to me that you need to render your work area first. The red x usually means that there is an effect on that clip that hasn't been rendered yet. If that doesn't work then I don't know what it is :(
