Video Compression in Premiere
People have been telling me I need to select a different Compressor in Premiere when I begin a new project. I do not know how to do this, i believe I see where to do this, but its non-selectable...

to change it while in a project, go to:
Project>Project Settings>General/Video
Depending on what you choose for a compressor in General, you'll get different results in Video.
For instance, if you choose DV Playback in General, you'll only get to choose Microsoft DV (NTSC) or (PAL) in the Video sectionl
However, if you choose Video for Windows in the general section, and then go to video, you'll get a whole list of compressors to choose from such as Cinepak, Huffyuv, XVid and so forth.

Except that Premiere Pro will not let you change it in the middle of a project; you can only set it at the beginning.Lounge Fly wrote:to change it while in a project, go to:

If by "compressor" you mean "format", then yes.Lounge Fly wrote:Depending on what you choose for a compressor in General, you'll get different results in Video.
