Use the help menu, search for "transitions"


For ab editing:
Put a clip on video1
put a clip on video2
Put a transition in the 'transitions' bar.
Render

For single track editing:
Put a clip on video1
put another clip right next to it
put a transition right on the spot where they meet in the same track
render
