since rm takes up less space and may have better quility than wmv or avi, and mpeg is the only thing that can be used to be made in to a vcd i was wonder is there any software(freeware hopefully) that can covert avi or wmv in to a rm or rmvb file or vise-versa.
p.s when i try a software called real-converter and i try to convert some files into rm it always says "floating point division by zero" why is that

But be advised that any conversion from one lossy codec to another will adversely affect quality. You can't <i>gain</i> quality by converting to RM.
