3ds Max Render Error

Post by wiserd » Fri Oct 15, 2004 7:23 am

I might not get a response, but...
3DS Max 6 works pretty well on my computer, except that it crashes whenever i try to render movies. I know that this problem affects several other programs and have heard some rumors it's caused by one of the windows updates. I've tried installing patches from Discrete's website. No soap. Has anyone else encountered similar problems and fixed them?

Try rendering out your movies as .MOV quicktime files instead of AVI.

I get the same problem as you. Just go with quicktime then convert them to AVI using premiere or some other program. :D

Or an image sequence. I like image sequences for 3d rendering because if you need to redo a section it's very easy to just redo the frames you need.
