Someone's probably already asked this but... [DVD ripping]

So direct me elsewhere if need be.

How do I get DVD footage. like what software and such would I need. I'm trying to start making vids but I need footage and don't want to use anyone elses (I've borrowed some FFVIII from a friend but I really want to get some DVD clips instead of game ones).
I'd ask about game footage too but I'm sure thats harder and too advanced for me.

No no, he's in a hurry, don't point him to a guide that's god knows how many pages long. Just answer his question.

You get the programs you need from the internet. Any other questions we can help you with?
