trying to chop the video up? like windows movie maker but for divx type files so i can slow them down and speed them up smoove thanks

. If you look at the top of the list in the "Video Software Help" section,
you will find a "link" marked with a "sticky" on it.. What your will
be looking for, cut/paste & time displacement, is Non-Linear Editing (NLE) Software.

You can just open the file in virtual dub then set the begin and end points of the video to the clip you want, then render it in huffyuv.
