The help files are good. Try the manual, too.Jkraft136 wrote:Well i was able to get a copy of premiere for a decent price. It looks a little complicated to learn since i'm used to the window movie maker. Any tips on were to get started on learning this program?

The best way to learn premiere is not to think too big at first. The layout of premiere is pretty simple. You have a timeline, anything in that timeline will be apart of your video. You import cips into your bin, and drag and drop them into the timeline. Resize them, add music, etc. Eventually you'll learn that you can layer your videos in the other timelines to achieve different effects. I've been workign with premiere off and on for about a year, I'm still learning. All my videos are done with premiere (all 2 of them).

Its best you rough cut your clips before importing them into premiere. Your computer will thank you. Use virtualdub to cut out sequences you think you want to use. In virtual dub, just save segement avi of the clip you want. The compression should be huffyuv. Then import those clips into premiere. The smaller clips are easier to work with.
