Adobe vs Adobe Pro
Just wondering what the differences are. I'm already in serious debt due to my AMV addiction (buying the new bad ass computer just to have the pure power for AMVs) Apparently Adobe is the way to go from what I've seen on the boards but I want to make sure it's all I need it to be before I drop another $200. (BTW I don't have a job) I really just want peoples oppinions. Are there any short comings to adobe? does it now half all the important effects? does it export good? does it ... etc. Now I'm probaly gonna get mocked for asking questions that could probaly be solved by looking around the site but I don't want oppinions of web site admins, I wanna know what you guys really think about it? Is there a better program out there that isn't crazy expensive?

thats a big no no to say on this site. If your going to cheat the programmers out of their money and not pay for it, at least keep it to yourself. Comments like these could get the site in trouble.s_a14 wrote:^_^
I haven't figured out how use Premiere 6.0 yet, but I downloaded mine instead of paying. if you want it, why not just do that instead?

(I assume you might mean the current versions of Premiere, Premiere Elements 1.0 [the consumer version, $100] or Premiere Pro 1.5 [the professional version, $600])
Primarily, while Premiere Elements is much cheaper ($100), you have to use VirtualDubMod primarily for all of your pre-processing and post-processing. Mainly, this is because Elements does not support AVISynth nor are the output options the best ones (and are big space-wasters).
If you have the money, Premiere Pro might be your best bet. If you want to save money and don't mind using other programs to get the AMV working, you can get Premiere Elements for strictly editing alone.
