WMM2 collections

Post by Dvl-Jigen » Sat Jul 02, 2005 3:45 am

Recently I had to reinstall Windows XP & I am wondering if there is anyway to transfer my Windows Movie Maker collections from my old installation of Windows XP, I have all the files from the hard drive in which the old installation was installed on, but cannot access the operating system to use the files & settings transfer wizard because of an error that shuts it down before I can get anywhere, what should I do?

I doubt it, unless there is a folder listed "Collections" in the program folder.

It sounds like you may have lost those files. But... I suggest trying to install the hard drive into a computer which is already running Windows XP as a slave or secondary hard drive...

The "good" Windows running on the other computer should be able to access the hard drive containing all your old files with no problem if there is nothing physically wrong with the drive.

If you can't get to another computer... you might install a new hard drive in the one you are using as a primary hard drive... Then install windows XP on it and finally hook up the old hard drive as a slave or secondary drive.

Good luck :?
