Anyone touched these yet? Worth having to upgrade to a 64 bit AMd/sempron system to fulfill the required sse2 insturction set?

Personally, neither of these were really "must-have" upgrades for me (well, premiere pro still hasn't even won me over).
Just look at the feature list and try the demos and make a judgement about whether its worth it to you.

I'm grinning and skinning at the thought of multicam
"Another new feature helps you make cuts at the right visual and audible cues when you have video from multiple cameras and want to tie them to a master soundtrack. This multicamera monitor lets you view up to four video tracks in a single window; you click on the panes within the window to make cuts in the sequence. The visual representation works well when you're using multiple cameras to record the same event, or when you're compiling different video sources into one movie."
gonna mnake osome of theose multi splicing shots a lot easier to at least cut initially!

This has potential too...
"One tool that most people will use is the new secondary color corrector. First you click on areas of an object with a color picker to create a mask; then you can use hue and saturation controls to change the color of the object. I found that this app works best on objects in a high-contrast setting--for example, a bright purple bucket in a kid's sandbox. Though it didn't work perfectly on all of the objects I tried, it's a very neat tool."
even more goodies!
In Premiere Pro 2.0, you can create a transparent video layer, which can be used for applying effects to a bunch of clips without having to repetitively copy and paste attributes. Just apply an effect to the transparent video track and the results from the effect will automatically be apparent on all other underlying tracks.
and it looks teh sexy

For editing music videos, Adobe Premiere 6.5 or Pro 1.5 are enough to get you by since you only edit a 4-5min segment per session (ie the length of yoru song).

I myself need the upgrade because of filmmaking. PPro had a really bad memory leak and it looks like they finally fixed it with Ppro2.0. If anything, this upgrade is more for people who will utlize things like color correction, multicam editing, HDV editing, etc.

Since we make AMVs using VOBs, there is really no reason to upgrade unless you work in TV and Film

will be getting into film later this year, but i'm thinking that the multicam functionality could be well used by us AMV creators... i mean, set up 4 differant vobs as 4 "camera feeds" and then just click into the beat... easy way to create multi anime transitions and cuts...saving literally hours of time...
