Windows Movie maker 5.1 is pretty good for a free product and you can mute the clips as you sync them into your AMV. 8-)

I could do that with 2. Never tried it with 1.

windows movie maker 5.1? there isn't even a version 3 so how can there be a 5.1?

Apparently, somewhere in the About... screen or some similar, the program's version number is listed as 5.1.

Never mind the fact that it's really called Windows Movie Maker 2.1. :?

You have to love Microsoft. Just ignore the first version number, the correct one is the one at the end of all that mumbo-jumbo. Version 2.1.4026.0 is the real number.

5.1 refers to version of windows you have (windows xp).
