Post by Trixen » Wed Mar 01, 2006 8:11 am

I hope this is the right section for this, can anyone give me advice on what Editing software would work best for a computer running Win 2000?

Is the software at all complicated to run?

Adobe premeire 6.0 should work with windows 2000 (there are later versions, but I think this is the most stable version)

Windows Movie maker!!!

joking!!

it would probably be best to get premiere 6.0, vegas, Ulead Media Studio, Magix, or After Effects.. Most of the older video editing programs that run good on win 2k are incrediblly cheap! i saw premiere 6 on e-bay last week for $40.. i got UMS 5 for $20 with a capture card (might not work with xp/2k) and i got UMS 6 (works with 2000) for $30! I bought Magix new for $45-50.. and the others.. well i havent checked prices! All im saying is there are a lot of good programs out there that run good on win 2000 that are cheap now! I still use Premiere 6 and i love it!

(you could always go get Final Cut Pro... but you might have a few issues getting it to run smoothly on win 2000..)

Premiere only works with XP. Atleast that's what the trial says for me.
