Adobe Premiere 6.5 issues...
I'm starting on a video with Premiere 6.5 for the first time.
I really don't know as much as I should about file types and which options to choose for opening files in Premiere so i kinda guessed... ^^;;
But basically, I've ripped Advent Children to my computer with a save rate of 9mbps as an .avi file. So I know have about 5 gb worth of movie.... -_- I uploaded about 1.06 Gb of the movie into premiere to begin working on the AMV however, when I play the movie back, or try to preview it I get this squiggly line that pops up every few seconds. So with the information given, I'm wondering if this seems like a problem with the Software compatibility, the file, the file size, or the file type = \
Any ideas? ^^;
(P.S. I am able to rip it as a DivX file, I just haven't. Would this be a better file type to work with?)
Much love~

NO, you're on the right track though. What codec did you compress with? .AVI tells me nothing...msanogi wrote: (P.S. I am able to rip it as a DivX file, I just haven't. Would this be a better file type to work with?)

Technical skills would be of service now.... uhmm... ^^; I'm not recording with a certain codec (?). Pretty much I have this thing called CapWiz and I'm just plugging my ps2 to a converter that has an a/v jack and a usb port hook up, then telling my computer to record once i press play.... It's NTSC 720x480...
I'm sure that doesn't help >.>

is a ps2 the only dvd player your computer can use?
it would be a lot easier if you ripped the dvd with an internal or external dvd drive (if you have one)
even so...if they are avi files you can open them up in VirtualDub(/Mod), find the clips that you want to use and encode those with Lagarith or Huffyuv.
You could just encode the whole thing with Lagarith or Huffy, but the resulting file would be really big
when you created the project in premiere, what settings did you choose? (framerate, resolution, aspect ratio, NTSC or PAL...that kind of info)

I can download that program you were talking about.... and re-rip the dvd in a smaller file size. I have a DVD(plusminus)RW drive, I just don't know any names of any good DVD rippers = \

I'm working on re-ripping the dvd with that tutorial though >_>
