adobe preimere pro codec issue

i'm trying to import .avi files into adobe preimere pro, however I keep getting unsupported error. So i'm guessing I'm lacking a codec or so. Any ideas where I can get the right codec?

What's the codec? Remember, you should only use lossless footage in Premiere and other editing software. So unless it's uncompressed, HuffYUV or Lagrynth, you're going to have a problem anyway...
