I have tried using Xvid,DivX and Cinepak codec but none of them could show any results... When i imported Full Metal Panic and cut one of the scenes i wanted after that i lay it over the projectfield but the Sequence window shows pitch black. Would appreciate a help on this one, im having a competition in a month so i really want to start on making my new amv as fast as possible.

Since you've done nothing with the project, have you tried starting a new one? That has cleared up similar problems on my side.

And how are you importing the clip? What type of file is it?

DONT use divx/xvid to edit - its prefered you use a lossless codec eg. huffyuv or lagarith

That's what I was going at. Just to double check myself, I imported one of my XVid videos into Premiere and sure enough, you can use the left monitor, but the sequence monitor is black. Listen to Purge and convert the files to one of the two.

I tried using Lagarit and huffyuv but its doesn't show any result :S I also tried without any codec but is the same... I checked on W Movie Maker if is was possible to edit there but it seems that whenever i put a clip on the storyline the whole program becomes error and needs to shut down -.- Can this kind of problem be because i installed too many codecs (ffdshow, divx, xvid, cinepak and more) or because of the file ? The files works fine on my main computer :S

I think they may still be recognized as Xvid. Like how you compress a huffyuv into an Xvid, but it retains the lossless quality. If this is the problem, I don't know what would help.

Did you make the clips yourself from a DVD?
