Cleaning up the local download servers
The script to clean up Kero is currently running. It's moving videos which the database says are deleted out of the way. It's not yet deleting them.
Please post here if you get any weird errors...
In a bit, I'll actually delete those files from Kero (though we'll keep backups). This will free up 77G of disk space.

I was just about to ask about that. Is there really any point to keeping the local copies of those around (I have one myself)?Bauzi wrote:How about Evanescene/Seether etc. amvs?
Oh yeah, and last I remember, they were still being treated as having local DLs for opinion-leaving purposes (the code saw a local copy and wouldn't let you leave a review unless you'd downloaded it, which of course would be impossible if you didn't already have a copy before the links got bombed)... was this ever fixed?

They shouldn't be, but no harm in checking if you feel like it.Bauzi wrote:Should we make a short check afterwards if non of our videos got deleted/moved by accident?
I think those are still in the database as having a local download (and also blacklisted, so they are not shown as local links), so I don't think my script touched them. How about Evanescene/Seether etc. amvs?

Re: Cleaning up the local download servers [UPDATE]
I mentioned this in IRC when it was discovered a few days ago so I'll just post here in case others are having problems too.
I'm not able to add direct dload links to videos atm I get the generic list of errors under the 404 heading "wrong name/link/you spelled it wrong" etc
http://www.valkyriestudios.org/verses/Y ... %20old.mp4 <--- that's one of the links i was trying to add.
I also tried adding a .avi with the same result.
so when you've finished the other mountain of work can I add this to the "to do list" :p

Re: Cleaning up the local download servers
Can we put up indirect links and download from them as well?
