Servers and Upgrades and MomoCon? Oh my!!

Hey everyone,

It’s been a while since I last posted a site update, but today, I have some very exciting news to share!

Our Server
As you know, AnimeMusicVideos.org, like the rest of the internet, runs on computer hardware. However, hardware doesn’t last forever. We last replaced our servers way back in 2015, and against all odds, that machine has miraculously and faithfully powered the site for the last ten years.

Unfortunately, time catches up with everything, and the server is starting to show its age. The moment has arrived once again to upgrade our infrastructure so that AnimeMusicVideos.org can continue serving the AMV community for years to come.

Enter MomoCon
For many years, MomoCon has been a fantastic supporter of the AMV community, from hosting amazing AMV contests to recognizing the importance of what we do here at the site. When they heard about our need for new hardware, they stepped forward with a remarkable donation to help ensure the site’s physical future.

I cannot express how humbled and grateful I am for this opportunity. Thanks to MomoCon’s generosity, we’re in a position to move forward with much-needed server upgrades that will keep the site running strong.

A Special MomoCon Event
While my personal public appearances are rare, this year’s MomoCon will be a little different. To celebrate this milestone, I’ll be hosting a very special AnimeMusicVideos.org Museum panel: a deep dive into the site’s history, showcasing artifacts and relics from AnimeMusicVideos.org’s early days, and taking a look at how the community has grown over the years.

This will be a one-of-a-kind event, and I encourage anyone attending MomoCon to stop by and check it out! It’s going to be a great opportunity to come together and reflect on where we’ve been, how far we’ve come, and where we’re headed next.

Once again, a massive thank you to MomoCon for their generosity and recognition of the importance of AnimeMusicVideos.org. This site has always been about the community, and I’m excited to take this next step together.

AnimeMusicVideos.org has been going strong for 25 years, and thanks to all of you, it will continue to be a home for AMV creators and fans for many more to come.
