If your computer is 'strange', perhaps getting editing software should be the least of your worries
Otherwise, check the sticky thread in Software Help

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Does anyone else on the planet use After Effects?
Of couse I have seen Zarx and Fluxmeisters guide to AE, but it's kind of minimal. If you decide to add any significant amount of material in the guides about After Effects, I would be very interested in contributing. Whether it be actual guide information or just screen shots, I am running 5.5 production bundle right now.

Since my copy of Primere (6.5, if that matters) didn't seem to have any innate codecs for making mpegs/mpg2 with, I went looking for a free converter program and found one that seems to be pretty nice so far:
http://www.download.com/AxVideoConvert/ ... ag=lst-0-8
Even though it's only a demo, the only "limitation" it has apparently is that it pesters you to buy it when you boot the program up. I thought it might be helpful for others whose editing programs also do not contain codecs for desired formats.
One also needs to remember to type in the file extension since it doesn't automatically slap it on, but if you do forget and pull it into some players it will work anyway.....
