hello, yeah, none of you know me, this is my first post.

I really do love this website, as infrequent as i may use it.. i think i am going to donate later, in light of this thread.

anyway, it seems to me that this site has alot of contacts in the anime community.. at large cons and whatnot.

one thing i do know about anime is that it is VERY expensive.. sometimes 30$ a dvd.. perhaps there is a chance that you could find a way to become a viable seller.. that is, sell anime dvd's legaly from the shop? you could sell them cheaper than most, even if you only make a dollar profit, your not in it for a huge profit, you would be in it for funds.. god knows you have the perfect target consumers prequenting the site daily. and it another "good guy" feather in your hat if you ever did get in a legal situation with a translation company or something...

its an idea anyway..

heres the idea for those just skimming:

SELL CHEAP LEGAL ANIME DVDS!! woohoo..

Gotta spend money to mak money, but although that idea sounds pretty good, i don't think it'll work too well. The only place I've seen DVDs cheaper than $30 a pop are Best Buy and sometimes the local anime store will have something.

And btw, welcome to the org :P

Someone's never shopped online for anime before. Maybe if Phade were to set up a referral deal with DeepDiscountDVD or DVDPacific (which are, at the moment, the cheapest source for non-bootleg DVDs available)...

You've been getting jipped your whole anime life. I've never seen an anime DVD cost more than $25. Most are $20. I suggest you check out the sites dokool mentioned because $30 for one DVD isn't reasonable. :|

There was the idea floating around a few pages back for ads for anime stores and what not on the front page. I think we should just go with that now that Phade has shut down the bandwidth cap idea. I mean, come on...advertising anime at cheap prices on a site that's geared towards using anime DVDs. How bad could it be? Who doesn't like looking for great deals on anime? =0)

Posting suncoast ads here would actually have this site lose money. :P
