i have noticed that several video pages don't have ads, just wondering why. Janzki's ntyfive, and fluxmeister's Grand theft Bebop: vice city are the 2 pages i have noticed this so far.

clicking for money

Post by tyromaniac » Sun Oct 16, 2005 11:58 am

are you saying that if we are really really bored, we could click the ads, press the back button and repeat until we think we've had enough and you get paid for this? would this work? I wouldn't mind doing it if I was really bored and it's helping out the site.

Hey,

The site gets the most revenue whenever someone clicks on ads. We can't tell or encourage you to click on random ads since telling you is against Google AdSense rules and would get us into trouble (possibly canceling our account).

I don't think the site staff can answer that question under their contract.

If I recall correctly, the google ad terms of agreement include that 'nowhere on your site can you encourage people to click the ads so that you get more money.'

Pfft. That's
A) Fraud.
B) Insignificant.

Hope this ad thing works out. Me, I'll stick with donating a few bucks. 8-)
