I see two arguments for more than 7 days:
1. Indirect links to someones site, someone who has forgotten all about the org, but still has the videos. (And of course, doesn't check that email any more.) (Probably anything that isn't indirect will stop working because they rename stuff, anyway, you get the point.)
2. Don't make people work harder than they have to. In other words, don't remove links unless you're really really sure there's a good reason. (Yes, you as the programmer officially do not qualify as "people". Nice, isn't it? =)
