HEY! Somebody is plagurizing my friend's work! Please help!

Hey all, I'm -kari-'s older brother Jeremy. Nroca Kao, I can understand the desire to defend your friend in case of art theft or something similar but you have not made an acceptable explanation of your accusation yet. -kari- has provided plenty of information in her defense and is happy to provide more from reputable sources. So far all you have done is state that you "know" the video is stolen. You need to provide proof supporting your claim. I'm sure you are a trustworthy person but with the accusations you are making, we cannot simply accept your word as proof of wrongdoing. I watched this video being made. A great deal of work was put into it over a great deal of time. -kari- and I both used this project to really learn the intricacies of Premiere and become better editors. She has received many awards and commendations for this work and rightly so. If you still wish to pursue the matter, I suggest you have your friend come here and make a statement. I'm sure we'd all feel awfully silly if it turns out Jeremiah doesn't even know you're here making these claims.

Hmm, based on my quick searching, I don't see any evidence of this. There are a total of 10 known Jeremiah's on the org. Of them, only 2 of those have vids, and only 1 of them has Kingdom Hearts 2 videos. And that one uses the e-mail you posted in the mod's drop box (yes, I know you said it isn't his now email, but you posted it, so I'm going to assume that the account was made back when it WAS his email). Of those videos, none of them are named Kingdom Fortuna, none of them use the same audio as the -kari-'s Kingdom Fortuna, and (maybe most importantly) none of them are downloadable. No offense, but this doesn't really make me inclined to believe what you have just stated.

mmm, inane internet drama

My friend Jeremiah posted a video called "Kingdom Fortuna" some time ago in 2004. This person, user name -kari-, has stolen his video and posted their name on it. My friend has not logged on in a while so his account was deleted. This person said they made it in 2003 which is an obvious lie because of the kingdom hearts 2 footage in it. Please help to stop this thief and fix this problem.

hate to break it to you hun but if you post something on the internet it is more than likely to be stolen by some dumb noob who is either misinformed and thinks that this is acceptable or by some person who took it just to break your balls. But srsly, anything that you post on the internet can be stolen, traced, come back to haunt you, etc since it is a public domain and anything that people do in real life is going to happen on the internet at 1,000,000 times the vengeance.

Best thing to do is to report the person who stole the vid. That's about all you can do because you can't stop each and every single person who steals from people. That would be impossible. Pretty much no matter what you do this is gonna happen every once in a while so just learn to laugh at it and take it as a compliment that the person thought it was that good in the first place.

Nroca Kao I realize you're upset but do you think you could have waited till we have a resolution here before you start tagging -kari-'s youtube videos? That's awfully harsh language for an accusation you have yet to prove. We can progress best if you do one of two things:

-Have Jeremiah come to this thread and make a statement
or
-Post a link to Jeremiah's Kingdom Fortuna video so we can all make a judgment for ourselves

Leaving nasty comments all over the net is not a very good way to achieve your goals.
