I had some problems when I first started, too. But, it's pretty simple once you get started. Do this:
1. Click the AMV logo you see above to take you to the main site
2. Scroll down to see the search box
3. Put in an anime or music or whatever to search for and click "search"
4. You may get a page that talks about donating. This is only an in-between page. Just go to the bottom where it says "pledge, pledge, proceed" and click "proceed" to continue searching.
5. You will see a list of amv's. Click one you want to watch to get more details on it.
6. If indeed you want to see that one, go to the download box where it says "local" or "direct" or whatever, and click on it. (you'll need to be a member to download locally) You may recieve another donation page. Do the same as before to proceed.
7. A page will start up that says "your download will start in 10 seconds".
8. You wait for it to download and then you can watch it, give it stars, leave comments on the vid, or even an opinion.
Then, repeat for more results. ^_^ Let me know if that helped, or if you have any other questions. I'll be glad to help. Take Care.

Note, however, that not all videos will have links on this site (local or otherwise). It just depends on if the creator wanted to host the video here or elsewhere. Uploading the video isn't a requirement for cataloguing the video, after all.
