Deleting and Remaking a Video

I have a question about uploading videos.

I would like to "remake" (not remaster) a video.
I have read the information about remaking and remastering,
but I still don't quite understand.

When I remake a video, I would like to delete the original,
is that possible? I know that I have to give a legitimate
reason to the moderators for deleting my video,
is that a good reason?

No, A remake would be a video of it's own.

A remake is considered a different video, so for the sake of the catalog both entries need to stay in the catalog. I'd discourage you from doing this, but you can ask to remove the local upload for the original
