Sorry for the late reply to this.
I appreciate you voicing your concern. If there are members that believe there is something wrong with the website or inappropriate then we want it brought to our attention.

Now, the general rule of thumb that the majority of anime conventions and this site actually goes by is keep it PG-13. Both sexual content and violence is allowed to an extent.
Even before I became a mod and then an admin, I was curious about the use of nudity (breasts, nipples, etc.) in a video. I was informed by a moderator to follow the PG-13 rule and that brief nudity is ok as long as it's artistic and not full on porn. There have actually been a couple videos that I myself have taken down that crossed the PG-13 line into full on R.
This video, while artistically erotic to an extent, is well within the PG-13 limit. Silhouettes kissing, lying on top of each other (not really even moving or thrusting), and a moment of brief nudity here and there are quite fine. Need I remind you that Ghost Busters has nudity, sexual situations and a full on heavily insinuated oral sex scene between Ray and a Ghost yet that merely has a PG rating.

In order to sign up for this website you have to have an email, correct? In order to sign up for an email account you sign a terms and condition agreement that states you are over the age of 13. Which means that if you're signing up for animemusicvideos.org, at some point in time you've stated that you are at least 13 years of age. I don't expect to have anyone younger than that on this website. We never claim to be Disney Land.
I can understand being fearful of a 10 year old seeing this kind of imagery but if they're frequenting the Org and signing up for email accounts without parental supervision then that kind of problem really falls on the parents, not on the site that they shouldn't be on it in the first place. The video in question doesn't even have an age restriction on Youtube, which is a website you do not need an account to log into to view videos as you do with the Org.

The video shows up on the Spotlight because it has been rated highly by those that frequent the Org and watch the videos on it. Those who are over the age of 13. Singe again, this site is not intended for those under the age of 13. The administration does not decide what shows up on the spotlight, the age 13+ viewers do.

As it stands, Pandora and videos like it are more than welcome on AnimeMusicVideos.org.

@Ileia thank you for the detailed information.

@Radical_Yue
Thank you for taking the time to write a response.

In light of the dialog introduced, I'd like to briefly address the points brought up and then reintroduce my request - I feel there may have been a slight confusion as per my request and my point may have been missed,

The MPAA ratings have changed considerably over the years; when Ghostbusters was released there was no PG-13. Many well known films received a rating of PG also contained nudity, like the Pink Panther Films and Airplane. You can read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_Pic ... -13_rating

I never meant to correlate movies or the rating system - but my intention was to highlight the concept of a "General Audience" - the one we commonly see in movie trailers. These often include degrees of innuendo and violence but as a whole deem acceptable for the public.

Forgive me, I honestly cannot recall the terms and conditions; having signed up 12 years ago and approximate two year after the site was launched. It is encouraging to hear such controls exist, but I also believe any websites that including a forum require the users consent that they are at least 13 years of age. Furthermore, I was speaking about the actual site, which can be browsed and viewed without creating an account or consenting that the user is over 13.

Again, I do not believe that the Pandora vid does not belong on AnimeMusicVideos.org, I have extensively praised Centurione work above and never insinuated that the video should be in the least bit censored. What I was suggesting was that videos in the Spotlight be at least appropriate for all audiences. Today there are videos that appear in the Spotlight that do not have an option to preview, where the following message would appear: The requested video is not encoded for streaming. Perhaps something like this can appear for videos that have questionable content for that "general audience" of PG-13. The spotlight does not give details on the random video and may catch many visitors off guard.

The ability to stream the AMVs has made browsing so much more enjoyable - back in my day there was a limit, many videos had expired hosts (404), download speeds were slower than an internet cafe in a third world country and having the download time out after hours was the worst. The community appreciates you and the fell admins vigilance with regards to keeping the site up and running and maintaining a threshold for acceptable content.

I hope my clarification has helped better explain the suggestion, feel free to take your time to consider the suggestion or respond if you have any further questions.

Respectfully,
ai
